Neural Networks in JavaScript
Over the last months, I invested much time and energy into learning about machine learning. It's such a fascinating topic once you get into it. At some point, I was able to train my first Neural Network in JavaScript. After I saw how well it was performing and having this "Wow"-moment, there was no way around for me: I had to share this awesomeness and wrote a step by step guide on how to implement your own Neural Network in JavaScript. Check it out and follow me on this machine learning journey this year.
Firebase in React Authentication Tutorial
Everyone is using Firebase. It makes it simple to setup your own database for a side project yet also for a project that you are building for a client or a prototype for your company. But I couldn't find any comprehensive tutorial about it. So I started to write an own tutorial on how to implement the whole authentication process in Firebase and React. After reading it, it shouldn't be difficult to sign up users for your application, to reset their passwords, store them in the Firebase database, and to authorize them based on their roles and permissions anymore. It turned out to be a great tutorial and many people who went through it were able to bootstrap their own product ideas with it.
Become a React + Redux developer in 2018
It definitely makes sense for every JavaScript developer to get a taste of Redux. It was one of the reasons why functional programming was adopted heavily in the JavaScript community over the last year. So just by learning it, you will stay up with the latest paradigm shifts in JavaScript. The course "Taming the State in React" doesn't only introduce Redux from 0 to 1, but also gives you clear best practices for larger applications. That's why I recommend to get your hands dirty and learn Redux in 2018.
That's it from my side. I hope there were a couple of interesting things for you. Otherwise, I am looking forward to deliver you a couple of gems next month. It's getting exciting because I have a couple of nice articles in the pipeline :-)
Thank you for all your support. I wish you a great year 2018!
Robin
PS.: I am actively looking for support on Patreon. If you are staying with me this year, consider to be my Patron. It would mean so much to me to be able to invest more time in teaching people about JavaScript.
